Beyond the Cuff Mastering Blood Pressure
At some point, a clinician has rambled off your blood pressure to you and sent you on your way. But do you really know what these numbers mean? Was that a good reading or a poor one? What can impact these numbers in a positive or negative way? Join OSU Health Plan Health Coach Alison for an educational program about mastering the blood pressure basics to answer those questions and more. During this 30-minute session, we will discuss what blood pressure is, how it is determined, and why it matters; review what the numbers mean and significant blood pressure categories; and learn about treatment and habits you can make to maintain or improve your healthy blood pressure.
